UI improvement for environment variables

Good afternoon. I’ve been using the platform for hosting an Express API and it has been one of the best hosting platforms I’ve tried. I think that it is a good idea, that you could add multiple variables and credentials at the same time. I just read another post that suggests using a config file for this too, and that could be a huge upgrade too.

    Hey! Sorry for the delayed follow-up. We’ve shipped several improvements to environment variables since your suggestion:

    • Inline editing: Add as many rows as you need and fill them in directly, including from the application sidebar, without opening a modal for each variable.

    • Import from .env: Import variables from your .env file, choosing to append them to your existing variables or replace the list.

    • Secret variables: Mark sensitive values as secrets so they stay masked after saving.

    Thanks for the suggestion, this is a great point.

    At the moment, adding multiple environment variables at once is supported during the creation process, but not yet from the environment variables side panel.

    We’ll take a look at this and consider it for future improvements.
